At Swimming Victoria (SV), we are always keen to know how you feel about swimming, and how we can help improve your experience. That’s what this Annual Member Insight Survey is all about.
By providing us with your feedback, we can get a clearer picture of how people feel about the swimming experience in Victoria, what you want from us at SV, how we are going in delivering that to you – and what we can do better.
The survey also gives us an important insight into SV’s culture and the profile of the Swimming community here in Victoria.
At SV, we believe in creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone is valued. To do this, we need to recognise and draw strength from the diverse nature of our workforce and community, and to encourage that diversity by addressing any equity issues, including affordability and accessibility.
The data we gather from the 2022 Membership Insight Survey will help us identify those issues and inform future diversity and inclusion strategies and program development, including:
• Disability Action Plan
• Gender Equity Action Plan
• Cultural Diversity Inclusion Strategy
• Aboriginal Employment and Self Determination
These are vital to help us properly reflect and represent the diversity of the Victorian swimming community, improve access and remove barriers to participation, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs, and create a culture of belonging for everyone.
This kind of progress is important, but we can’t do it alone.
Good policy, plans and programs are based on sound data from people across the entire spectrum of the swimming community. That’s why we call on you to share your information, your stories and your personal experiences as we seek to create a more effective, inclusive and equitable Swimming Victoria.
You can be sure your information will be kept strictly confidential and used only for aggregate statistical reporting. All individual responses are de-identified and any question which receives less than 10 responses will not be reported, to ensure participants are not identifiable – another reason why value the participation of as many people as possible.
