2022 Metro SC Champs Indoor Pool

After a 2 year hiatus we were thrilled to kick off our short course season on Friday 22 July with the Short Course Distance Time Trial.

A new addition to the calendar, this competition aims to provide more opportunities for swimmers to gain qualifying times for distance events in the lead up to the Short Course Championships.

Over 120 swimmers embraced the opportunity with many of them gaining the times and race experience they were seeking. We look forward to growing this competition to further meet the needs of our distance swimmers in years to come.

The action continued across the weekend with the return of the 2022 Victorian Metropolitan SC Championships. After two years of cancellations, it was great to see over 965 metro swimmers take to the pool for 2 big days of competition.

Nunawading Swimming Club proved they are the metro club to beat, finishing top of the club point scores with 2984 points. They were followed by Surrey Park (1606) and Melbourne Swimming Club (1211). With Melbourne Vicentre (1106) and Haileybury Aquatic (1016) rounding out the top five.
