Records Information
When records are broken at either a Swimming Victoria or Swimming Australia (SAL) meet, e.g. Victorian Championships and Australian Age Championships, these records are updated within 14 days of the swim automatically.
Splits are not automatically checked and you would need to apply for a record achieved with a split time.
For all other meets you must apply for the record as results are not automatically checked. The meet must be a Swimming Victoria approved qualifying meet.
For records from any Championship or qualifying meets outside Victoria, it is the swimmers responsibility to obtain a Team Manager (TM) file or a full PDF copy of the meet results showing the date of meet, meet host name, meet name event numbers and final times from the meet organiser.
Applications must be received by the Swimming Victoria office within 30 days from the day of the swim. Applications may be rejected if received late or the meet was not granted qualifying status.
Reference for records kept in Victoria, refer to the Swimming Victoria Competition By-Law BL8 - CL15
