National Volunteer Week 2021
Written by: Swimming Victoria

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. From 17-23 May 2021, NVW will celebrate the significant contribution of Australia’s almost six million volunteers.

Volunteers are the backbone of our swimming clubs. They dedicate hundreds of hours, every year, into a variety of roles that ensure the survival of swimming clubs all around Victoria. Without the commitment of these volunteers swimming clubs would cease to exist.

If you’re looking for ways to show your appreciation during National Volunteer Week, here’s some ways you can get involved…

Send a virtual thank you. Through the Volunteering Australia website, you can send a free ecard Certificate of Appreciation directly to your volunteer’s email.

Get social! On Swimming Victoria’s social media pages, we’ll be paying tribute to some of the hardworking volunteers in our swimming community. So, make sure you like, comment, share or tag us in your own posts!

And finally, it’s not too late to nominate for Swimming Victoria’s Volunteer of the Year Award. So, if you know a volunteer who’s going above and beyond at your club, you can nominate them here.

We hope you join us in saying thank you to our wonderful volunteers during National Volunteer Week!
