The final countdown is on! In just over a week, the Victorian Age Championships kick off on Sunday 10th December. And this year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! Not only will there be six days of fast-paced competition in the pool, there will also be plenty of fun activities happening around pool deck, making it one for the ages!

Swimming Victoria is excited to bring you the Fan Zone – a dedicated pool side area on the grass for fans of all ages. Bring your picnic rug and chairs, hang out with your friends and watch all the action from the pool whilst cheering on the swimmers. Or just sit back, relax and enjoy one of the many tasty treats available for purchase from one of our food trucks.

Our sponsors, EVO Sportswear, Funky Trunks and Funkita will be there along with Swim Merch, so make sure you visit their stands and check out their great range of products. PhysioHealth will be on hand to help out our athletes (and their parents!) with all their physiotherapy needs and we are excited to have Sports in Focus as our official event photographers. They will be capturing all the swimming action as well as those special moments on the dais. You can also get creative with an on the spot snap of you and your friends when you visit our photo booth!

With so many people converging on MSAC at our biggest event of the year, it’s the perfect opportunity for Swimming Victoria to provide information sessions for both parents and clubs to bring them up to date on a whole range of topics, network, share ideas and learn from their peers. These will take place during morning warm ups and free coffee cards will be up for grabs to the first 30 people at each session, so don’t miss out! For full details of the parent information sessions, click here. Details on the club sessions are coming soon.

So, there’s something for everyone at the Victorian Age Championships., We hope you get involved and enjoy the carnival style atmosphere and great swimming! For further event information make sure you keep an eye on the Swimming Victoria website and Facebook page!
