Swimming Victoria is thrilled to be partnering with Swimming NSW and Swimming Tasmania to launch the 2019 Tri Meet. This exciting opportunity will see athletes and coaches from Swimming Victoria’s Performance Pathways Program travel to Wagga Wagga in NSW to train and compete for five days from 8-12 July 2019.

The focus of the competition will be centred around creating a team environment, working together and executing racing skills. After three days of training, the athletes and coaches will split into three teams for two days of competition. This will provide a unique opportunity for participants to develop both in and out of the pool in both a fun and competitive environment.

32 Victorian athletes have been selected for the Tri Meet based on performances at the Australian Age Championships.  8 males (14/15yrs & 16/17yrs age groups) and 8 females (13/14yrs & 15/16yrs age groups) will take to the water. To view the list of athletes, click here.

Accompanying the athletes will be Victorian coaches, Kenrick Monk (MSAC), Sarah Scott (Nunawading), Dean Bryant (Nunawading) and Tim Mulvihill (Bayside), along with asctaVIC Scholarship Coaches Ben Craven (Ringwood) and Bobby Folan (MLC Aquatic). Victorian Coaching Director, Wayne Lawes will also join Jon Shaw (NSW) as Coach Mentors across all three states, working with the appointed coaches.

Officials from all three states will also attend ensuring the whole week has the feel of a high level competition.

We wish all the athletes coaches and officials good luck and safe travels. We look forward to seeing this competition develop in years to come.
