A message from the Midlands District regarding the 2021 Victorian Country SC Championships:

We have been looking forward to hosting the Victorian Country Short Course Championships back in Ballarat since 2019.

We continue to watch restrictions and while they have eased slightly as the restrictions stand today, we would be unable to host the event.

We continue to be optimistic that with the next communication, restrictions may ease enough to allow us to continue with hosting the championships on August 14th and 15th.

We are mindful that swimmers and their families travel from across the state and book accommodation for the weekend and as we wait for these next announcements, we commit to updating an outcome on the running of the event on Monday 9th August. This will confirm that we are proceeding on 14/15 August or whether we will have to reschedule the event.

Entries remain open, we ask that you enter as soon as possible to provide visibility of the numbers attending. In order to help us plan around restrictions sooner rather than later, we have also made the decision to close entries a day earlier at 11:59pm Sunday 8th August.  Should we need to reschedule, a full refund will be offered to all and an opportunity to re-enter the rescheduled event.

Fingers crossed we get to see you all in Ballarat soon.
