Women in Swimming Leadership Network Returns in 24/25 Season

04 September 2024
Written by: Swimming Victoria

On Sunday 18 August, Swimming Victoria had the pleasure of hosting the Women in Swimming Leadership Network forum, an event dedicated to empowering women in the swimming community. The event featured a presentation by Nikki Burger, who shared her unique insights from her role as the Yanqing Village Manager at the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games. Nikki’s discussion on how she leveraged her leadership skills in managing such a large-scale event was fascinating to hear.

The forum was marked by an interactive atmosphere, with attendees eagerly engaging in discussions and networking. It was a fantastic opportunity for women at all stages of their careers to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

The Women in Swimming Leadership Network is not just for established leaders but also for aspiring individuals who are passionate about swimming and leadership. We particularly encourage young people who are eager to build their network and grow in this field to join us. This forum is a testament to the power of community and the importance of supporting each other’s journeys. Find more information about our Women and Girls Action Plan here.
