More great Vic performances on Day 2 of Aus Champs

Day 2 delivered more great results for our Victorian athletes at the 2024 Australian Open Championships.

Col Pearse (Nuanwading) was in action in the Men’s 100m Butterfly MC, the Paralympian finished in 4th place with his time of 58.81, with fellow Victorian Nicholas Layton (Caulfield Aquatics) finishing in 5th place (55.97).

Nunawading’s Olivia Lefoe gave it her all in the Women’s 100m Backstroke, the 21 year old posting a time of 1:02.85 to finish in 8th place.

Once again our Vics went 4 and 5 in the Men’s 50m Breaststroke MC, with fan favorite Ahmed Kelly (Yarra Plenty Waves), finishing ahead of Geelong’s Ryan McGrane.

Bradley Doonan (Geelong) – 10th Men’s 100m Backstroke MC

In the relay events Nunawading came away with a Bronze in the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay with their team of Isabella Boyd, Semra Olowoniyi, Olivia Lefoe and Abbey Kearney. In the Men’s event, Nunawading finished in 4th place with MLC Aquatic and Surrey Park finishing in 9th and 10th respectively.
