Swimming Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Nic Baker as Performance Pathways Manager.

Nic will take over from Joanne Love, who has been covering the role in the interim since Gary Barclay’s move to the National Pathways Manager role with Swimming Australia at the start of March.

As the current Director of Swimming at St Leonard’s College, Nic is no stranger to the Victorian swimming community. With over 20 years’ experience in the swimming industry, he is well versed in delivering high performance and pathways programs, talent identification and team management.

Nic is thrilled to take on the position. “I am very excited about working with the coaches, athletes and all the staff at Swimming Victoria and to utilise my skills as a swimmer, team manager and coach in the role. I am looking forward to an exciting few years ahead” he said.

Swimming Victoria CEO Jason Hellwig is delighted to welcome Nic to the SV team.

“Nic brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and will be a great addition to our organisation. I look forward to seeing him build on the fantastic work that Jo and Gary have done in the Performance Pathways area.

I’d like to thank Jo for her help in keeping our pathways programs thriving during this interim period” he said.

Nic will begin his role with Swimming Victoria on Tuesday 12 April.
