Emerging Abilities Squad
Written by: Swimming Victoria

Our Emerging Abilities Squad came together on Saturday 14 October for a Biomechanical Analysis session at the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS).

The session focussed of dives and was led by VIS Biomechanist, Victoria Brackely. Both athletes and coaches spent time with Victoria, analysing and looking for improvements that can be made to their dives and implemented into their home programs.

After the session the group were lucky to hear from Victorian Paralympic and World Championship medallist Col Pearse. Col gave the athletes insight into what it takes to prepare for international competition, reflecting on his past training leading into the 2023 World Para Championships and discussing his preparation for the 2024 Paralympics.

A huge thank you to Col and Victoria and well done to our Emerging Abilities Squad and their coaches.
