Petric strikes Gold on Day 3 of Aus Champs

It was another huge night of racing at the Gold Coast Aquatic with the Vics adding another 2 medals to the tally, including our first Gold!

Col Pearse (Nunawading) kicked us off with a Bronze in the Men’s 200m IM MC with his time of 2:16.37. In the Women’s event, Ballarat Gold’s Sarah Howe was back in action, finishing strong in 6th place.

In the Men’s 200m IM William Petric (Nunawading) claimed Victoria’s first GOLD for the Championships, with a personal best time of 1:58.43. Fellow Victorian Marco Soesanto (Melbourne Vicentre) finished in 6th place and Nuna teammate Will Sharp placed 10th.

It was an exciting end to the night with the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay, Nunawading finished in 4th place ahead of Surrey Park in 5th with MLC Aquatic placing 8th.
