In case you missed it, we’ve been counting down the winners of our Top 10 Club Awards on our Facebook page.
The Top 10 Club Awards ranks the performances of Clubs throughout the Victorian Championship season to determine the overall Victorian Championship Club and the Top 10 Clubs.
Taking out the top spot and being crowned overall Victorian Championship Club, was Nunawading Swimming Club. This is the fifth year in a row the powerhouse club has claimed this prestigious title.
Our biggest mover in the countdown was Northcote Swim Club. The club powered into the top 3 to finish in 3rd place, not only its best result, but also a huge improvement on its 7th place finish in 2019.
We had our highest number of country clubs place in the Top 10 this year with four clubs winning awards. Ballarat Gold Swimming Club and Bendigo East Swimming Club made the list for the first time. Also claiming its first Top 10 Club Award was Western Melbourne Propulsion.
Swimming Victoria CEO, Jason Hellwig was thrilled to see the achievements of the Victorian Clubs. “Although we haven’t been able to get together to celebrate our Awards this year, it’s been fantastic to engage with the Victorian swimming community through social media to countdown our highly anticipated Top 10 Club Awards.” Hellwig said.
“It’s wonderful to see such great results from Clubs across the state, country and metro. It shows the spread of talent we have here in Victoria, and we can’t wait to see them all back in the water again soon!”
Congratulations to all our Top 10 Club Award Winners!
