Swimming Victoria (SV) is saddened to learn of the recent passing of long-standing technical official, Audrey Bowen.
Together with her late husband Russell, Audrey was a technical official for 30 years as a Timekeeper, Recorder and Marshal and she officiated at all levels.
She was a Life Member of Metro North Swimming Association and was awarded an SV Service Award in 1996 and a Meritorious Service Award in 2009.
Audrey was a great source of inspiration and enthusiastic mentor to trainee officials, she will be remembered fondly by many in the Victorian swimming community.
SV and the wider swimming community extends its sincere condolences to Audrey’s family.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Audrey will be held at Ern Jensen Funeral Parlour, 6 Bruce St Preston on Friday 22 March 2024 at 2pm.
