The action from the 2018 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Tokyo has wrapped up with the Australian Dolphins claiming 27 medals (8 Gold, 12 Silver and 7 Bronze) to finish second on the medal tally behind the USA.

It was Nunawading swimmer, Jess Hansen (coached by Scott Talbot) who made a name for herself in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke, swimming a PB to win Silver in a time of 1:06.20. She was also part of the Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay team who broke the Championship record to claim victory ahead of the USA.

Olympic champion, Mack Horton (Melbourne Vicentre) brought home Silver in the Men’s 400m Freestyle, hitting the wall behind teammate, Jack McLoughlin at 3:44.31. A recent addition to the Olympic program, Mack also competed in the 800m Freestyle, finishing in 5th place behind a strong field.

Well done to Jess and Mack on their performances in Tokyo, along with coaches, Rohan Taylor (Mentor) and Craig Jackson.
